Max Jacobson's Affiliation With President JFK by Koral Rose

 

            With all of our knowledge today in science and the medical world, we seem to trust people more and more. It appears to be that John F. Kennedy was trusting doctors way before the 21^st century. Max Jacobson, also known as Dr. Feelgood to some, was a very educated man that helped President Kennedy, and countless celebrities, with several health problems by giving them injections. These injections where known to be vitamins, probiotics and antibiotics that inquisitively became addictive substances. With realizations, the injections were discovered to be variations of methamphetamine, giving Jacobson’s clients a remarkable “high”, causing people to be dependent of the drug. The conspiracy theory that is being interrogated is the cause of President Kennedy’s death, and whether the government had attempted, and succeeded, his murder. The reason the FBI was interested in taking his life was the belief of our President formulating irrational decisions, due to the amount and quality of drugs he was consuming. Did the government authority indeed have something to do with the murder of President John F. Kennedy?

Max Jacobson was a crazy doctor that could easily classify as a drug dealer. He was asked by an old Harvard collegiate buddy, Chuck Spalding, to keep the greatest secret yet. This secret was to help President John F. Kennedy with his many health problems. Kennedy was sick almost all of his life with Addison disease, chronic back pain, and was awfully prone to infection. One example, in June 1961, President Kennedy suffered a fever

that hit 105 degrees which called for a cold sponge bath to cool him down in the middle of the shutdown with the Soviet Union over Berlin (The Strange Saga of JFK and the Original ‘Dr. Feelgood’). He did not want to release his medical documents to the public, so he preferred to keep this issue confidential. There were a limited number of people that knew of this incident.

The FBI and CIA soon became very suspicious of President Kennedy due to some of his whereabouts and why a doctor was entering into The White House so frequently. JFK’s internal conflict of being dependent of the reduced pain and thrill of the personal secret, caused trouble in the outside world. He was a very big headed man with mass authority. Speaking about himself and his presidency, Kennedy claimed, “Sure it’s a big job; but I don’t know anyone who can do it better than I can” (John F. Kennedy). He always made bold decisions in his serving time, however, were they rational decisions? As time passed, President John F. Kennedy was easily provided with these drugs, as well as countless other drugs. He claimed that “after one ‘treatment’ that instantly made him feel stronger and very alert” (The Strange Saga of JFK and the Original ‘Dr. Feelgood’).

The doctor’s treatments seemed very odd, but who would question what a doctor does? This doctor was different. Max Jacobson’s office for practice was not much of a patient friendly atmosphere. There were papers all over the floor, pills and syringes lying around, and random chemicals far and wide.  People say it looked more like a mad scientist’s laboratory rather than an office to provide practice. Michael Samek, his best friend, stated that Jacobson never set up an appropriate billing system, he rarely received payments from his patients, and he saw his practice as a mission rather than a job (Lertzman).

He was always known to be a bit of a crazy man, sporadic, some might say. Max Jacobson was born in a small village inside the border of Poland, on the banks of the Vistula River. He studied medicine in Berlin then fled to Nazi Germany in 1936. Developing booster shots for healthy patients is what lead him to advance his name, first for European immigrants then he traveled to the other side of the world treating patients in Hollywood and Washington (The Strange Saga of JFK and the Original ‘Dr. Feelgood’). Jacobson was interested in any intravenous, or IV, fluids that were capable of being injected into the human bloodstream. These fluids ranged from amphetamines to tranquilizers. He specifically utilized methamphetamine above any other drug, which he referred to as his “vitamin shot” (Lertzman). He also favored a drug used to treat neuromuscular disease, created with “an individualized combination of hormones Vitamin B complex, certain enzymes, Vitamin A and E, Vitamin D, Vitamin C, and procaine, a local anesthetic injected intramuscular (also known under its brand name, Novocaine)…”(Lertzman).  The word soon spread amongst celebrities and other prominent figures in the era. Soon he had hundreds of patients keeping, and addicted to, this secret. This man was the definition of crazy. Max Jacobson was nothing more than a drug dealer that went to medical school.

There are many conspiracy theories assuming the assassination and the reasoning for the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Two main ideas are brought up about this topic. One, the CIA wanted to get rid of him and execute him before he got out of control. Secondly, the mafia was simply out to get him.

The CIA was already interested in his records with Max Jacobson, therefore, they knew something was wrong with him, that he was not in the best shape. We still are not sure if the CIA discovered that President John F. Kennedy was indeed on methamphetamine at the time, or if they uncovered that later. However, the CIA was sure he was making irrational decisions. Also, the CIA was upset about the changes being made with the agency and how the Bay of Pigs invasion in 1961 failed. The Bay of Pigs Invasion was during the cold war, due to the fact that Fidel Castro, leader of Cuba, disapproved the approach that Americans took to their business interest in Cuba. With this, Kennedy was not happy, so he wanted to assassinate Fidel Castro. He had the idea from Eisenhower’s campaign to train and equip a guerrilla army of Cuban exiles, but something needed to change. He decided to conduct strike against Cuban airfields by painting American bombers to appear as Cuban planes. Once he realized how foolish his idea was, it was too late to quit. The invasion was a disaster and Americans surrendered after less than one day of fighting (Bay of Pigs Invasion). Then, the CIA realized that Kennedy threw them into a death trap and grew angry. This brings us back to Kennedy’s appearance of making irrational decisions and getting many of his men killed.

The second conspiracy theory is related to the Mafia, organized by Carlos Marcello, Santos Trafficante, and Jimmy Hoffa (Simkin). There is one belief that the anti-Castro group and the mafia were working to together to take down President John F. Kennedy. This was because the mob was angry with efforts by the President’s brother, Robert Kennedy, to demand the halt of organized crime. The mob was out to get the Kennedy’s for quite some time. Some even believe that the CIA was teaming up with the mafia.

There are many, many different ideas of what could have happened due to the fact that President John F. Kennedy was targeted by so many people. There is a slight belief that both of this conspiracy theories are true and that there were multiple shooters lined up to take the shot. It still comes down to, “Well, who took the shot?”, but the problem is that the man was hated by so many. Of course the citizens of America were unable to realize it at the time. However, the CIA, Mafia, and Cubans were extremely interested in this man due to his crazy and suspicious actions.

            Although it seems everyone was out to get President John F. Kennedy, the most likely scenario is that the first theory holds true. The CIA needed to get rid of President Kennedy due to his lack of rational decision making. Kennedy got many of his men killed in a suicide mission in the Bay of Pigs Invasion, and they realized that. The CIA was very interested in Max Jacobson and why he had relations with President Kennedy, however they were unable to see what exactly was going on at the time since they were very careful about the drugs and files (Lertzman). According to the poll conducted from campus, 70% of people believe that the government was indeed involved in Kennedy’s assassination. However, with the governmental protection of the CIA and classifications, it would be almost impossible to prove that the CIA is responsible.

It is understood by now that Kennedy was out of his right mind because of some types of drugs that Dr. Max Jacobson provided. Some type of organized group seems to be affiliated with President John F. Kennedy’s assassination. Due to his crazy doctor, and irrational decisions, President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, TX in 1973. There are two main theories assuming the assassination of Kennedy:

1.      Was the CIA willing to take extreme measures to execute The President before he killed any more of their men?

2.      Was the mafia was simply out to get him?

The mystery will forever remain unsolved. If the CIA did indeed assassinate Kennedy, then all of the evidence and blame is covered up or completely destroyed.

The Absturse Assassination of the President John Fitzgerald Kennedy by Angelo D. Gomez

Introduction

           On November 22^nd, 1963, tragedy struck the United States of America as President John Fitzgerald Kennedy was assassinated in front of the entire world. On that day, assassin Lee Harvey Oswald fired multiple shots at President Kennedy in his motorcade, killing him and wounding others. (Chapter 1) However, many do not believe Oswald was solely responsible for the assassination of the president. While no one doubts that Oswald fired shots at the president, many people believed he was assisted in his assassination by either other gunman or by a higher authority that was paying him to do the job.   Some believe that the Mafia was at work. Others think the CIA was behind Kennedy’s death. (Saad)  In a 2003 poll, 17% of people claimed that Kennedy was the greatest president of all time, tied with Abraham Lincoln. (Saad)  Many people do not think a lone gunman could be responsible for the death of such a great man and therefore could not have done the deed alone.

Character Analysis     

Lee Harvey Oswald killed President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963 (LEE HARVEY OSWALD). Sadly, the motives of Oswald killing the President are never to be known. Before he could be thoroughly interrogated, Oswald is shot and killed by assassin Jack Ruby on November 24^th, 1963 (1). While we will never be able to fully understand why Oswald killed our nation’s leader, we can analyze the events of his life to try and get a better understanding of his mental psyche when he murdered Kennedy.

            It is impossible to determine whether Oswald was a disturbed individual, but if he was then the source of his insanity can be found by looking toward his childhood. Born October 18, 1939, to widow Marguerite Oswald, Oswald and his family moved from house to house in the New Orleans area for the first few years of his life until he moved to the Dallas-Fort Worth area in January of 1944 (Lee Oswald Timeline 1 / Childhood and Youth). At that time Oswald started schooling, but despite this Oswald’s family continued to move over the following years of his life causing him to attend 12 different schools throughout his educational career (1). 1952, however, was the low point of his educational career, at this time Oswald was sent to a youth home for troubled children, due to his truancy problems (1).

            While moving around would not raise a child with a strong psyche, this alone would not lead him to become an assassin, therefore the source of any of Oswald’s mental health problems would be found in his adult life (Lee Harvey Oswald: Troubled Youth." After leaving school, Oswald goes to Marine Corps got basic training in San Diego on October 26, 1956 and continues in the Marines until he is released from active duty on September 11, 1959 (LEE HARVEY OSWALD). During Oswald’s time in service he had a few altercations with his commanding officer and was a difficult man to work with (1).

            After his time in service, Oswald left to visit Europe and had an apparent suicide attempt in Moscow on October 21^st, 1959 (LEE HARVEY OSWALD). Ten days later Oswald attempts to renounce his U.S. citizenship and he goes to live in Russia for the next two years (1). During this time, Oswald is put under close surveillance of the KGB (Ivestia).  Eventually Oswald would meet and marry his wife, Marina Nikolayevna Psuakova, while in Russia in the spring of 1961. Together they would come back to America and live out their lives in Dallas, Texas (LEE HARVEY OSWALD).

            Throughout Oswald's time in Texas, the man had been conducting suspicious activities. The man purchased multiple firearms and attempted to assassinate Major General Edwin Anderson Walker (LEE HARVEY OSWALD). After his failed attempt to kill General Walker on April 10th, 1963, Oswald flees Texas and goes to Florida for a few months (1). Upon his return to Dallas, Oswald gets a job at the Texas School Book Depository in Dealey Plaza, the building he would shoot at President Kennedy from in the following month (1).

     Lee Harvey Oswald was a strange character but even by analyzing his history closely it is difficult to find out why he would kill President Kennedy. It is no mystery that Oswald was the assassin to President Kennedy, but the mystery behind Kennedy's death is why did Oswald kill the man? Was Oswald mentally unstable due to his unstable childhood and military service, or was he under the influence of the KGB due to his time spent living in Russia?

Possible Theories        

John F. Kennedy’s murder case is the most controversial in American History.  While it is undoubtable that Lee Harvey Oswald fired three shots at President Kennedy and killed him, no one is exactly sure of the motives by Oswald’s actions. While the official statement made by The President's Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy, also known as the Warren Commission, is that Lee Harvey Oswald was a lone gunman and was solely responsible for the assassination of President Kennedy (Chapter 1). However, there are many theories that try and pin other people and organizations as responsible for Kennedy's death. Various theories range from vicious organizations, such as the KGB, CIA, Mafia, and the Illuminati, trying to take out the American leader, individuals, such as Jackie Kennedy, acting for their own personal gain, and of course the classic aliens theory(Who Killed JFK? 51 Years of Intriguing Conspiracy Theories).

            The organization that is most widely believed responsible for the assassination of President Kennedy is the KGB. The KGB was the security agency for the Soviet Union in the 20^th century. During Oswald’s time in Moscow, from 1959 to 1961, he would slowly find himself becoming a more devout communist (LEE HARVEY OSWALD). Oswald was even willing to share top secret information with the KGB about the U-2 spy planes(Scientia Press).Oswald typically had a violent nature, as seen in his assault of a commanding officer and his attempted suicide, which the KGB could take advantage of to manipulate and convince Oswald to assassinate the President (LEE HARVEY OSWALD).            While the KGB would have likely placed a hit on Kennedy, Oswald had chosen to kill the President of his own free will. In 1962, the KGB sent out a call to all of its agents to halt their assassinations (Scientia Press). The soviet leader, Nikita Khruschev, had recently received bad press for assassinations he had ordered in Germany; therefore further assassinations had been halted to prevent further suspicion (Scientia Press). Despite KGB orders, Oswald decided to go ahead with the assassination of President Kennedy anyways.

            Another group that had the finger pointed at them is the Mafia. Kennedy’s younger brother, Robert Kennedy, was serving as the US Attorney General and was adamant at putting a stop to the Mafia (Who Killed JFK? 51 Years of Intriguing Conspiracy Theories). The hit on Kennedy would have likely been placed in order to put a stop to Robert’s work through emotional trauma. However, what makes this theory stand out more than the KGB theory is Oswald’s assassin, Jack Ruby. On November 24, 1963 Jack Ruby shoot and killed Oswald (Jack Ruby). Ruby, a night club owner and supposed mobster, claimed to kill Oswald so that Jackie Kennedy would not have to return and suffer through a testimony in Oswald’s murder trial (1). However, Ruby’s history with the mob has led people to believe that he killed Oswald in order to silence the man and keep him from spilling Mafia secrets.

            Though unlikely, it has also been speculated that Jackie Kennedy, the President's widow, had ordered the hit on her husband (Who Killed JFK? 51 Years of Intriguing Conspiracy Theories).  It is a very popular rumor that President Kennedy had multiple affairs while in office, most famously with Marilyn Monroe and a 19-year old White House intern. However, her jealousy would not lead to the president's death. Before her death, Ms. Kennedy had stated that she had her own affairs with celebrities such as actor William Holden and Fiat founder Gianni Agnelli, to get revenge on her husband (Jackie Kennedy Believed LBJ Had Her Husband Killed According to Tapes). Since she has cheated on President Kennedy, to extract revenge, it is very unlikely that she would also hire a hitman to kill her husband.

            One of the strangest theories for Kennedy’s death is that an interest in extra-terrestrial life forms led him to his death. William Lester, author of “A Celebration of Freedom: JFK and the New Frontier,” claims that CIA documentation has shown that Kennedy had shown a strong interest in UFOs about a week before his assassination (The Independent). From this it could be inferred that the CIA hired Oswald to kill Kennedy to prevent the young president from learning the truth about UFOs and aliens.

            No one will ever truly know the reality behind Kennedy’s death. While it can be speculated and theorized, the only person who knew the actual reason behind Kennedy’s passing is his assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, who sadly took the truth with him to the grave.

The assassination of the beloved President John F. Kennedy is doomed to be surrounded in mystery. When Jack Ruby killed Kennedy’s assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, he threw a blanket of mystery over the case that was destined to never be removed. To this day, the public has been made to believe that Kennedy was killed by a lone assassin, Oswald, but the reasons for his actions are never to be known. The enigma of Oswald’s motive is a problem that will never truly be solved, however as long as humanity has curiosity we will attempt to discover the reason behind his actions.
