Princess Diana by Jaidyn Martinez

Princess Diana died in a car crash on August 31, 1997, in the Pont de I’Alma underpass in Paris, when she was thirty-six years old. In this crash, she was accompanied by Dodi Fayed, her boyfriend who was also killed in the crash. Was this accident really an accident? There are three conspiracies about her death. The three conspiracies are she might have been pregnant, Diana believed that she was going to be killed by the establishment, and she might not have received the correct medical care and the doctors let her die. Let's uncover what happened to Princess Diana.

Diana, Princess of Wales, was born on July 1, 1961, in Sandringham, United Kingdom. She had short blonde hair and pretty blue eyes with a model’s height, she was 5’10. Her Parents were John Spencer and Frances Shand (Brennan). Diana was the third of the Lord and Lady Althorp’s four children (1). Diana was not a stereotypical princess. She liked to do her own thing. She didn’t raise her kids like the royal family would have wanted her to (14 Ways Princess Diana Bucked Tradition). She broke traditions and royal protocol (1).
Diana modernized the idea of what a princess should be (McHugh). She always said what was on her mind (1). She made the royal family more accessible and changed the opinions about what the royal family meant to them (1).  Diana would talk to homeless people she said “If I’m going to have cameras pointed at me the whole time, I might as well use all this publicity for good.”(1). She took a hands-on approach to humanitarian work (1). What she meant by this quote is that if she had to be on camera all the time she’d rather it be for something good instead of something pointless, that doesn’t matter. Diana is famous for her charity work, she was president of Barnado's and London's Great Ormond Street Hospital; plus, her patronages included the British Red Cross, Headway, the British Deaf Association and Help the Aged, among others (Reporters). The Princess is well known for her work with AIDS victims (McHugh). She literally took a hands-on-approach with this one (1). Diana shook the hand of a man with AIDS (1). She was challenging the idea that AIDS are passed from person to person by touch (1). She wanted to let people know we must help (1).
Diana appeared to be strong but privately she was struggling with low self-esteem and unworthiness (Thompson). In an interview she spoke on her struggles with bulimia and post-natal depression (1). After the birth of Prince Charles is when she experienced post-natal depression and she turned to self-harm as an escape (1). Diana found strength in helping others through her charity work (1). Diana was killed at a time when she had finally found joy in her private life (1).
There are three conspiracies about Diana, Princess of Wales’ death. The three conspiracies are that she might have been pregnant, she believed that the establishment would kill her, and that she did not receive the correct medical care.

The first conspiracy theory proposes that Diana was pregnant. According to Mohamed al-Fayed this was the reason she was killed ("People Still Don't Believe Diana Died In An Accidental Car Crash. Here's Why"). He said the idea of Diana being pregnant was unpleasant to the British state (1). Mr. Fayed said that the royal family “could not except that an Egyptian Muslim could eventually be the stepfather of the future King of England” (1). That’s why he thinks she was killed. Newspapers speculated that she might be pregnant. After the crash there were no signs of pregnancy during the post-mortem examination (1). Further test on her blood also revealed that she was not pregnant (1).
The second conspiracy theory is that Diana felt that the establishment would kill her. Diana wrote a letter that she gave to her butler, Paul Burrell, for safekeeping. In the letter it said “I am sitting here at my desk today in October, longing for someone to hug me and encourage me to keep strong and hold my head high. This particular phase in my life is the most dangerous. [...] is planning 'an accident' in my car, brake failure and serious head injury in order to make the path clear for Charles to marry.”(1). She was experiencing troubles with her car before she passed (1). Her bodyguard died in accident that she believed was a conspiracy (1). However there was no actual proof that she would actually be killed by the establishment (1).
The third conspiracy was that she did not receive the correct medical care. She was not taken to the nearest hospital, if she was she may have survived ("People Still Don't Believe Diana Died In An Accidental Car Crash. Here's Why").Instead of taking her to the hospital right away they started giving treatment at the scene (1). This also messed up the chance of her survival because she didn't get to the hospital in time (1). For this conspiracy to be true, there needed to be a number of expert doctors and other caregivers to both break their ethics and then lie about doing so(1). That didn’t happen so this couldn't be ruled as the cause of her death.
To this day no one really knows why exactly Diana’s car crashed. A lot of people don't believe it was just an accident.

On August 31, 1997, in Paris, thirty-six year old Diana Princess of Wales’ life came to an end. There are three conspiracy theories that might have led to this: she was pregnant, she believed the establishment was going to kill her, and that she did not receive the correct medical care. In the twenty-one years that has passed no one really knows what caused the crash.
