Bruce Lee By Josh Pedraza

arsenal was confidence, free from all fear or doubt" (“Bruce Lee Achieved All His Life Goals by His Death at Age 32 Because of One Personality Trait"); accomplishing his goals without much moral support from people that surrounded him, nor his parents in the beginning. Over the years Bruce was self-motivated and become strong mentally and physically. With his experience in Chinese Martial Arts, Bruce wrote several books. He never set limits or boundaries for himself in anything. He believed you must go beyond them and he demonstrated that in his life and through his teachings he inspired others to reach their potential. He took his confidence to a level in which the way people fight would feel no fear. Confidence is more than just fighting; it’s the basis in anything you do, without it you lose faith in your self-esteem. "You can have all the goals and plans you want, but you need confidence to accomplish your goals" (#38 Confidence-Bruce lee"). Strong confidence will allow you to overcome your obstacles that hit you in life. An individual could not achieve his or her goals without something assisting them; that something is confidence and a person putting forth the effort will show charisma.

Bruce's legendary life legacy of being a king of Mixed Martial Arts has had an impact on everyone; "Since his passing, he has become recognized as the king of martial arts through his films and the grandfather of MMA" ("Looking at Bruce Lee's influence on the world 40 years plus after his death"). People view him as an iconic legend: as an actor, instructor, philanthropist and highly skilled Chinese martial arts artist. Bruce had created a fight style named "Jeet Kune Do" a style in which there's no style. It eliminated other unnecessary moves preformed in martial arts. This targeted quick and easy strikes that could be a variety of attacks; It was made to be a combination of attacks that an individual could execute in seconds. Bruce had shown many of his own moves seen in his films, most of the which were quick and clean. The "one punch" was a strike that showed Bruce's personality, in which his intentions were never to hurt anyone, but rather to demonstrate self-control and self-defense, these being Bruce's most admired traits. Bruce's attributes made a platform in which people should be focused on defense, developing efficient contact, and visual reflexes. Bruce lived by his philosophies believing they are meant to be applied and not just pondered. "This is about co-creating your life with the world and revealing your soul" ("#48 Art of Soul-Bruce Lee").

Bruce was a intelligent person, never setting his mind to one thing. He lived a life of inspiration for anyone who ever met him, didn’t want what he knew to be contained in him, and wanted to spread his knowledge with others. "In order to be an artist of life, it requires the amount of expression that a painter would have, but in the different medium of your personality" ("#48 Art of Soul-Bruce Lee"). Taking what Bruce has taught someone and combining it with their personalities were his intentions, although different but still having the same basis as everyone. Bruce wanted the world to know about inner peace and equality which would ultimately leave a positive impact.

Bruce Lee was more than just a Martial Artist to us, he was the founder of modern mixed martial arts, creating something revolutionary.  Being the first to start his own fighting style, he created books about it so people could understand it and physically teach it; it was astonishing. Bruce's achievements helped others accomplish their own and his documentation gave future Mixed Martial Arts artist and writers a basis to help them with their personal achievements and goals. "creation in art is the psychic unfolding of the personality, its effect is deepening of the personal dimension of the soul. This is the personality as a reflection of our soul, not our social persona we put on for show." ("#48 Art of Soul"). Ultimately, Bruce Lee is an inspiration people aspire to be like.

There are many conspiracy theories of Bruce Lee's death but most don’t have enough evidence to support it. Bruce's death is said to have been an accidental death having a hyper sensitive reaction to Equagesic a medication he took for a headache, one of the symptoms of this medication can cause seizures and coma but ultimately this claimed his life due to cerebral edema, swelling of the brain. There were other rumors that the Chinese mafia was involved with his death as punishment for exposing the teachings of Asian Martial Arts; Betty Ting Pei also was claimed to have had be accountable for his death.

The first conspiracy theory states that Bruce had taken Equagesic which contained a muscle relaxant & pain relief that he combined with an aspirin, Being that Bruce was only 32 when he died left many people in wonder was this actually the cause of death. "A forensic specialist from Scotland Yard performed an autopsy and concluded that Bruce Lee had died of "misadventure," a legal term which indicates an accidental death that cannot be attributed to negligence" (“How Did Bruce Lee Die?”). This confirmed that his death was an accident. What doctors don’t understand is why months before he had died Bruce had a sesuire. They called it "sudden unexpected death in epilepsy" which happens to men who are 20 to 40 years of age with a lot of stress. This conspiracy has valid proof of Bruce's death. The autopsy unfolds the events that occurred.

The second conspiracy theory about Bruce and the events that led up to the Chinese mafia being a possible cause of death. In 1970 Bruce injured his back due to insufficient warm up during a "good morning" exercise when he placed a 125 pound barbel on his shoulders which ultimately caused damage to his sacral nerve. The doctor ordered Bruce to wear a back brace for 6 months in order to recover from his injury. During his time of convalescence was a very trying time for him because he was such an active person and being that he could not move much caused him depression. Linda, Bruce's wife saw how much his injury affected him and during this trying time inspired him to write a book about his teachings and share his knowledge. Bruce did write a book, Tao of Jeet Kune Do, a book that expressed his Martial Arts Philosophy and viewpoints, it was his intent to finish the treatise that he started during his time of recovery however his career in film and work prevented him from finishing it ("The Truth Behind Life and Death of Bruce Lee"). Bruce delved into his acting incorporating his passion for Martial Arts in his films. Bruce's film career began when he was very young and through his teenage years. His breakthrough came about 1950 in a film called Little Cheung, several films followed. The Game of Death is a film he was not only starring in but produced and directed, this was the last film he was to do. Bruce played an influential role in the spread of Chinese Kung Fu as well as the development of the Kung Fu movies. Under his influence Western people had a better knowledge. In 1975, Linda decided to collect her husband's various notes and core writings and put them together in a logic manner using various editors and organize Bruce's material into text and so his book was published. One of the reasons that Bruce did not publish his book (before his death) he felt that his work might be used for the wrong purpose, it was not meant to be a "How to" manual to learn Martial Arts ("Bruce Lee's Mistress Hopes Book Will Bring Her Peace"). Overall Bruce had been warned not to spread Chinese Martial Arts but he continued to do so throughout his career, nothing stopped his ambition regardless of the threats by the mafia. After Bruce's death, there were no reports of connections that tied his death to the mafia.

The third conspiracy theory there was speculations and rumors of another possible cause of his death, he was poisoned by Betty Ting Pei a Taiwanese actress and co-stared with Bruce, rumors claimed she was Bruce's mistress. According to the press, Bruce drove to the home of Betty Ting Pei to discuss and go over an upcoming film, while he was there Bruce had complained of a headache and she gave him a single tablet of Equagesic which is a combination of aspirin and a muscle relaxant. It was reported to be one of her prescription painkillers, he went to sleep and did not wake up. Betty called an ambulance but Bruce was pronounced dead upon arrival at Queen Elizabeth Hospital (“Bruce Lee's Mistress Hopes Book Will Bring Her Peace”). His death was allegedly caused by an allergic reaction which caused brain swelling. The only substance found in Bruce's autopsy was Equigesic and it was ruled he died due to a hypersensitivity to the muscle relaxant in the drug. The final note on his death certificate ended up being "Death by misadventure" due the belief the aspirin worked against him. The speculation that Betty Ting Pei wanted Bruce Lee dead had no motive or explain why she tried to "poison" Bruce.

Bruce lee's death at the age of 32 was a shock for many people, because he was so young. Having a father figure influence on Mixed Martial Arts all around the world, to creating world peace & positivity, ultimately an iconic legend. After his death there were three conspiracy's that arose:

1.       Bruce had an allergic reaction by a combination of equagesic & aspirin

2.       Bruce was killed by the mafia for exposing Chinese martial arts

3.       Bruce had been drugged by Betty Ting Pei

Some people believe he was killed by the mafia because his son was killed by the mafia. The autopsy shows that it was mis-adventure, ultimately proving that his death was accidental.
