9/11 conspiracy theory By Ashley Kim

In the morning of 9/11, two planes were high jacked and flown into the two towers. The tragic event lead to,  2,996 people, along with fire fighters and EMS trying to save people, were killed inside on  September,11,2001.There are 3 conspiracy theories for this event:

  1. What did they find under the towers?
  1. What did the steel beams reveal?
  1. What did Larry Silverstein do?
This is one tragic horrific day that this country will never forget; and we wonder if it was really caused by a terroristic attack or if the U.S government was involved?

Larry Silverstein is a great business man; he is called the American business man ("Bollywood"). Now let’s learn more about Larry Silverstein. May, 30, 1930, Brooklyn, New York, Larry was born. His external characteristics are, he has grey hair and wears glasses ("Bollywood). He graduated from New York University in 1952, he was married to Klara in 1956 ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein"). Larry and Klara had three children together: Lisa, Roger, and Sharon ('A short biography on Larry Silverstein"). Larry was involved in real estate together with his father in Silverstein properties, it was established in 1957 ("Bollywood").
Silverstein was such a great business man and was so interested in the area of the world trade center because that he knew this would make him famous ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein"). His real estate also included other buildings in New York City but the world trade center was the most valuable ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein"). The world trade center was worth 3.2 billion, the city's richest real estate deal ever ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein"). Silverstein had put 14 million of his own money into the building ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein"). The builders gave him the rights to rebuild if anything ever happened to the towers ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein"). In 1980 Silverstein won a bid from Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to construct seven world trade centers to the north of the world trade center site. Larry was interested in acquiring the entire world trade center complex ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein").
Silverstein purchased the world trade center six months before the disaster occurred ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein"). Being a great business man Larry purchased the building with a 99 year lease ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein"). Silverstein then decided to take out an insurance policy on the world trade center since he was leasing it for so long. The insurance policy covered everything including terroristic attack ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein"). After September, 11, 2001, when the tragic day of the towers falling, Silverstein turned in his insurance claim. Silverstein stated that there was 2 occurrences since there was two planes that went into the towers ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein"). The insurers disagreed and said they would settle for only one occurrence, so they gave him a claim settlement for $3.55 billion ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein"). If they would have settled for two occurrences Silverstein would have had a payout of $7.1 billion ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein"). In December, 6, 2004, federal jury ruled in favor or Silverstein, giving him an additional $1.1 billion for it being two occurrences instead of just one ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein").

Larry Silverstein is proven to be a great business man. Throughout the paper there have been facts that show his dedication to being a great business man. When he was fighting with the insurance company about the claim, he didn’t take no for an answer they eventually settled with two occurrences ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein"). He was called the American business man for his real estate background ("Bollywood"). Larry was the President CEO of Silverstein properties ("Bollywood"). He has overseen some of the largest real estate in Manhattan ("Bollywood"). He was also a Governor in the real estate board in New York ("Bollywood"). Larry Silverstein was also very smart when he bought the world trade center, he knew it was a very large investment, so he took out an insurance policy so if anything was to happen to it he wouldn’t be at a complete loss ("A short biography on Larry Silverstein"). This proves that he was a great business man.

In the attack of 9-11, several conspiracies are highlighted. To begin, with the first conspiracy, what did they find under the twin towers? Nano thermite was found in the dust at ground zero (Harrit). Nano thermite is an explosive residue that is normally found from bombs (1). There for there was a bomb explosion that went off in the towers.
The second conspiracy states what the steel beams reveal. Steel melts at a temperature of 2,777 degree Fahrenheit, jet fuel burns at a temperature of 1,517 degree Fahrenheit (Shermer). Since the jet fuel cannot get hot enough to melt the steel then how did the towers collapse?  “No melted steel, no fallen towers”. This leads to the second thing, if the jet fuel and the planes didn’t cause the towers to fall then what else was the cause for the massive destruction that day? (1). “Planes did not bring the towers down bombs; bombs brought them down!”(2).
The third conspiracy tells all about what Larry Silverstein did before the attack on the towers. Silverstein had purchased the twin towers six months prior to the 9-11 attack (A short biography on Larry Silverstein). He had taken out an insurance policy on the building that covered everything, even covered terroristic attack (1). Silverstein made two claims after the incident, he ended up getting $4.6 billion for the attack on the towers (2). Coincidence there was an insurance claim taken out six months with terroristic attack coverage, right before there was an attack made on the twin towers.
In all three of the conspiracy theories they almost all tie together, but definitely someone was involved with the attack. There had to have been bombs, there is just too much information with “the nano thermite (Harrit), the steel not being able to melt from the heat from jet fuel (Shermer)”. The first and second conspiracies just nail it on the head to show everyone that there definitely had to be involvement of bombs set somewhere in the towers that day they collapsed. Fifty percent of the people on the conspiracy theory beliefs poll agree that there was government involvement in the attack on 9-11.
The tragic event on 9/11, that lead to 2,996 people along with fire fighters and EMS trying to save people, were killed when two planes were high jacked and flown into the twin towers. Three conspiracies still remain.
1.      What did they find under the towers?
2.      What did the steel beams reveal?
3.      What did Larry Silverstein do?

This was a horrific day that this country will never forget. Today these three conspiracies still remain open.
