Jesse James by Roger Berryhill

Jesse James is one of the most famous thieves from the past. Jesse was one of the first people to rob a bank in the day light (James Biography). He was a criminal for about 15 years. Jesse was born in 1847 and died 1882.He was A modern day Robin Hood giving his gains to the poor (James Biography). He was married to his First cousin and had two kids with her (James Biography). They say he was shot at his kitchen table after eating breakfast by one of his gang members also his guards because the heat was on him.

With Jesse James, there are a couple conspiracies on how he died or if he really did die. Jesse James was a famous bank robber who was Fearless and was not scared of anything.

He started robbing banks for the money then he became money hungry and got greedy. His first Robbery was for $60,000.00, his crew was a dozen men. Jesse was a unique bank robber because he was the first criminal to rob a bank in the day light (Jesse James). Jesse and his crew started

robbing banks because they needed money because money is always an issue but then Jesse and

his crew got money hungry and wanted more and more money. It even says that Jesse and his

crew stopped and moved apart and Jesse could not stand it (Jesse James). He come out of

retirement and got a new crew together and back to robbing when in reality he had plenty of money and could of lived a comfortable life . Jesse acted out a lot I thought he

was a bank robber. Jesse was famous for what he did.

Jesse was not a very wise guy. He did not make wise choices, Jesse actually lost his life

from robbing banks (Jesse James). If he had not been a bank robber there would not have been a

price on his head. Jesses actions affected others in a bad way he made his living robbing Banks,

trains, Stagecoaches, and even individuals. Jesse killed a lot of innocent people. Jesse had a bad

external conflict on others he was a crook and killed many people. Jesse James in my opinion was a very stereotypical man because when you hear that name you think bank robber but a survey that

was done stated 50% of people did not know who he was but the other half did. It seemed to me

that older people know exactly who he was and younger generation of people were asked and

thought Jesse James was the motorcycle builder. The question on the survey was” Do you think

James was killed by a crew member’? And about 50% of people said they think he was killed by a crew member. The other 50% did not know too much about the bank robber Jesse James even

and who he was. Some say that Jesse James was not really killed because the person that was

Buried was not the same height they think it was staged and Jesse was still alive (7 Things You May

Not Know About Jesse James."). When I think of Jesse James he thinks Outlaw, bandit, killer and fearless. Jesse James was a very successful robber for his time. Many years’ later people are still talking about him. Jesse was driven by greed and unwise choices he did not know when to stop robbing.

One is that Jesse faked his death, and lived for years under the name J. Frank Dalton. ("Bison Bill's Weird West.") Jesse was in a secret society “The Knights of the Golden Cycle”. They say that when Jesse James faked his death that he went to Mexico and enlisted to smuggle Emperor Maximilian treasure out of Mexico. ("Bison Bill's Weird West.") Then, the Mexican Patriots killed Maximilian and his team and some Indians found him and nourished him back to health (1) He was  then transported to east Texas . He then and transported his wife Carlotta to him And Jesse had got payed 5 million in gold changed his name to John Maxi. (1). Jesse James then met up with him coins The Knights of the Golden Cycle assisted Jesse James and was  paid 12.5 million to split for helping(1)Getting payed form Maximilian mad him a wealthy man and that is how he got the money to fake his own death and skip town and start a new life. (1).

Another conspiracy theory on how Jesse James died is that he was eating breakfast at his house and went to go take his dishes to sink. A partner in his group shot him in the back and killed him while his wife and two children were in the other room. Bob Ford, a new recruit in the gang, was one that claimed to do the shooting (1) Also in the shooting was Bob’s older brother Charley, also a member in James’s gang. Earlier that year, Bob had a meeting with the governor to take down Jesse James for a reward. After the Ford brothers said they killed Jesse James, they were convicted of murder and said to be hung when the governor pardoned them for their crimes. (“7 Things You May Not Know About Jesse James.")

The public feared the Ford brothers because they killed Jesse James, and they soon became traveling shows (“7 Things You May Not Know about Jesse James.").  The conspiracy lives on Was Jesse James, the 19th Century outlaw really killed in his kitchen or was it staged and someone else buried in his grave. They claim that Jesse James then changed his name and moved to the country in Missouri where Jesse and his family started a new life on a farm.

Back in those days that was a ton of money that is still a lot this day in time. Getting payed form Maximilian made him a wealthy man and that is how he got the money to fake his own death and skip town and start a new life.      The public feared the Fordsrs because it was them that killed Jesse James and they soon became involved with traveling shows (“7 Things You May Not Know about Jesse James."). So the conspiracy lives on is Jesse James The Famous  19th Century outlaw  really killed in his kitchen or was it staged and someone else buried in his grave. They claim that Jesse James then changed his name and moved to the country in Missouri where Jesse and his family started a new life on a farm. So we will never know if the famous bank robber Jesse James was really killed from a crew member or if he faked his own death and kept on living an undercover with a new name and a fresh start on a new life.
Jesse James lives on as one of the most famous bank robbers in the past. Jesse James lives on as one of the most famous bank robbers in the past. The first man to rob a bank in daylight. Jesse was an outlaw for about 15 years before he was killed. The conspiracy lives on. Was he really killed? Did he fake his death? Is he living a new life under a different name? No one will ever know the truth.
