The Death of Nicole Brown Simpson

  Jennifer Hill

The Death of Nicole Brown Simpson
Nicole Brown Simpson was an actress and was married to a retired NFL player by the name of OJ Simpson. She later died and an investigation was opened. There were multiple suspects, and the case soon became a national affair. There were people from all parts of the world wondering who did it, and each person had their own ideas about the case. There are five main conspiracy theories about the death of Nicole here are the 5 most popular theories.  The first theory is that OJ’s son murdered Nicole.  The next theory is that OJ hired a serial killer to murder her.  Next, is the theory that says OJ did kill her but only because he was being mind controlled by the Illuminati.  Another theory is that it was merely a case of mistaken identity.  The last theory is OJ killed Nicole out of cold blood.  Now let’s go investigate these conspiracy theories.Image result for nicole brown simpson
Everyone knows Nicole Brown Simpson as either OJ Simpson’s wife or just as the girl who was on the news because she got murdered. And some even know her as the wife who was continually beat by her husband, but no matter which one of these people believe, they do not know who she really was.  Most people forgot who the real Nicole Brown Simpson was, or never even got the chance to know her as a real person, but she was an excellent mother and all around an amazing person.
Nicole Brown Simpson was first and foremost a mother, but she was a daughter, a sister, an excellent friend, and overall one of the most compassionate and kind hearted humans as well. (marshall1)  Nicole cherished her family, she loved her children and fought to keep her family together.   She wanted to create an environment that was full of love and hope even if that meant she had to stay with OJ and force her marriage to work. (marshall1) She always put her kids first and herself second, even when OJ was beating and abusing her she stayed with him just so her kids could have the perfect family. (marshall1)  On one occasion a reporter even had the audacity to ask if she even loved her kids and to this Nicole responded with, “ More than I love me own life.” (marshall1) She was humble and selfless with her kids no matter how bad her marriage got.  Nicole was an extremely hands on mother, she hired nannies but they were there as a third hand.  She only used her nannies if she had extra chores around the house she needed to get done.  (marshall1) Eventually, Nicole was tired of putting so much effort into her marriage that she eventually gave up.  Nicole told her sister,
“I’ve been trying to keep this marriage together for five years, and I’m the only one dancing, and I can’t do it anymore.” (marshall1)
No matter how much she loved her kids she was done with being battered and bruised all the time.  She was not happy anymore and asked OJ for a divorce.  Once she and OJ divorced Nicole was full of hope, there was so much she wanted to do and see.   Nicole told her sister, Denise, “ I can’t wait to start my new life.  Let’s go camping.  Let’s go to Club Med.  Let’s take the kids on vacation.” ( marshall1) She was ready to start over, to find new friends, and to do anything and everything she could do. (marshall1)  The fact that she stayed with him for that long shows not only how much she was dedicated to her family but also just how much she loves her kids.
Most can’t even grasp how kind hearted she was, she even opened up her house during the holidays to people that didn’t have anywhere to go. (marshall1)  She was full of love toward everyone, even toward OJ.  Whenever she loved someone she loved them immensely. When she and OJ were together she told her mother, “ He will always be my soulmate.”(marshall1)  She loved him so much, but it continually broker her heart when OJ was nothing but cruel and abusive toward her. And her did nothing but take her for granted.   Nicole was always a hard worker, in school and even a her job later on in her life. (marshall1)  She was significantly more mature than most of the people her age, even one of her old teachers thought so.  Bill Prestridge, her former teacher, told The Washington Post “ I wouldn’t say she was your typical high school girl...she was very mature.”  (spolarandgrove1)  Nicole was an extremely down to earth, humble, and kind person.  It is true that she was not perfect, she had her own flaws just like every other person in this world, but she always tried to be the best she could possibly be.  No matter what life brought her way, whether it was good or bad she was always ready to face it head on with a positive attitude.  It is a shame that such a beautiful soul and kind human being was taken from this world too soon.
On June 12, 1994, the death of Nicole Brown Simpson shocked the world, and since her death there has been many different theories on how she was murdered.   It has been over two decades since the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and there are still theories going around, and people wondering what happened to her.   Some of these theories make sense but a lot of them do not and are just completely absurd.  There have been theories like OJ did not actually kill her and that his son did, which is one of the more sensible theories, to theories that state that OJ did do it but only because he was being mind-controlled by the illuminati, which is definitely one of the more absurd theories.  Both of these theories, and a couple others are considered to be the most popular and they will be discussed in this paper.
There are many different theories on how Nicole Brown Simpson died, here is the first theory.  Some believe the OJ didn’t in fact kill her, but instead his son killed her.  This theory received the most popularity in the mainstream media ( Jones 1).   This theory was initially brought to light by a private detective, Bill Dear, who suspected the real killer was Jason Simpson.  The theory states that Jason was obsessed with his stepmother and killed her out of a jealous rage after she skipped a family dinner he had planned, and according to this theory the only thing OJ was actually guilty of was helping cover up his son’s vicious crime (Jones 1). Though Jason was never considered a suspect or charged with any connection with the murder of Nicole, it did not stop people from speculating he did in fact murder Nicole.  He also allegedly had a history of violence and mental illness.  According to Dear, Jason had been diagnosed with “ intermittent rage disorder” and was prescribed a medication to control it, even though the statement could never be validated.  Dear claimed Jason abused alcohol and cocaine, had a history of attempted suicide, and even tried to kill his former girlfriend with a knife during a fit of rage (Flynn 1).   Even though Bill Dear obtained these facts illegally it did in fact put holes in OJ’s son’s alibi.  Dear also claimed Jason owned a cap that matched the description of the one found at the crime scene, and that OJ hired Jason a lawyer four days before his own arrest (Flynn 1).  Even though Dear’s evidence was largely circumstantial, his theory was received favorable, or at least not entirely incredulous, coverage from many different newspapers like The Independent and The Huffington Post (Jones 1).  Even though this theory is one of the most logical theories out there, most of Dear’s statements could not be verified.  Even the lead prosecutor, Marcia Clark, stated it was “offensive” and “ It is nonsense, because there is no real logic, there’s no evidence, there’s nothing to back it up, nothing.” Therefore this whole theory is just based on speculation (Flynn 1).Image result for nicole brown simpson
The second most popular conspiracy theory were brought to light in 2012.  This theory claims that OJ did not murder Nicole but he did hire a serial killer to do it for him.  In an Investigation Discovery documentary, My Brother the Serial Killer, Clay Rogers, who is the brother is the serial killer Glen Rogers, states that Glen confessed to murdering Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman while on death row in Florida (Jones 1).  Glen’s family claimed he had called home a few weeks before Nicole’s murder and said he was out partying with her, and receipts did prove he was in Los Angeles at the time.  They also claimed after he was found guilty of a different murder, Glen stated that OJ had hired him to steal a pair of earrings from Nicole and if she tried to stop him, he was told to kill her (Jones 1).   Just like the other theory there are some inaccuracies for example; after being arrested Glen claimed he had murdered seventy other people but then recanted later, he was also serving a six-week jail sentence at the time of Nicole’s murder.  This theory still does not quite add up, and there are multiple flaws with this theory (Jones 1).
The third, and also one of the most ridiculous theories about this case is that OJ did kill Nicole, but only because he was being mind-controlled by the illuminati, which is a group of people that believe they have special enlightenment or knowledge of something (Jones 1).   Of course, nothing can ever happen in America without someone claiming the illuminati was somehow involved with it.  In this case conspiracy theorists say the football star was a subject of the CIA’s MKUltra mind-control experiment.  The people who believe this theory say that, at the time of the murders, OJ was being mind-controlled by the illuminati, who was hoping that the trial would cause some sort of race war in the United States.  This theory is ridiculous and there is no proof whatsoever to prove or support this theory (Jones 1).Image result for nicole brown simpson
Another more popular conspiracy theory is that OJ didn't murder Nicole but instead the murder was a case of mistaken identity.  In 2011, Simpson’s lawyer F. Lee Bailey brought up a fourth and significantly less dramatic theory for who was really responsible for the murder.  Simpson’s defense was looking for more witnesses to testify in simpson’s behalf at the trial.  One witness in particular was a neighbor named Tom Lang, who would have testified that he saw Nicole talking to two strange looking men outside her condo on the night the murder occured.  Simpson’s defense stated that he suspected the two men were drug dealers that killed Nicole in a case of mistaken identity(Jones 1).
The last conspiracy theory is that OJ actually did it.  On the night in question, OJ was out with a friend and OJ gets the sudden urge to go and scare Nicole.  He grabs a hat and some gloves, the infamous pair used as evidence in the trial, and a knife.  His friend, Charlie, ended up taking the knife from him and they went through Nicole’s broken back gate.  At the same time Ron Goldman, a waiter at the restaurant that Nicole and her family ate at, arrives with glasses that Nicole’s mom left at the restaurant.  Simpson was outraged and started screaming, Nicole came out of her house and started yelling back at him.  She tried to come after him, but instead slips and hits her head.  Ron then came out as well and got into a defensive stance, but OJ grabs the knife back from Charlie right before he blacked out (Oswald 1).  When OJ regained his consciousness he was covered in blood and had no idea what just happened.  Before he got back into his car, he undressed and bundled his bloody clothes up.  He then left the bloody clothes and the weapon with Charlie to dispose of.  He ran back and snuck into his house so he could wash off.  Afterwards, he got into the waiting limo and flew to Chicago, where he was notified of his wife’s murder.  After he was back in L.A. he agreed to talk to the cops without any lawyers present.  Soon after there was a warrant out for his arrest and he was now considered a fugitive (Oswald 1).  OJ and his friend, Al Cowlings, were out in the same car as the one OJ fled the crime scene in because they were attempting to go to Nicole’s house and then her grave but the cops were at both of those places waiting on him.  The cops arrested him and the trial started not long after.  There was so much evidence to convict him of killing both Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman for example; there was his bloodied clothes, the murder weapon, and those infamous gloves but the jury still found him not guilty.  This is the only theory that makes the most sense but some people just refused to believe it, instead they believe in the illogical theories that barely make any sense.  It’s a shame that this horrible thing happened in the first place but what’s worse is that the person that actually took Nicole’s life went unpunished(Oswald 1).   A survey of twenty-five people shows that 95%  of people believe that OJ was the guilty party and he was responsible for the death of Nicole Brown Simpson.
In 1994, the death of Nicole Brown Simpson shocked the world.  There was a lot of speculation about what happened to Nicole. There are multiple conspiracy theories about what happened, here are the most popular theories; OJ’s son killed her, OJ hired a serial killer to kill her, Oj was being mind-controlled by the Illuminati, it was a case of mistaken identity, and then the most common one is that OJ did in fact murder his wife.
