Bilderberg Group by Eric Brito

The Bilderberg Group has been at the top of conspiracy theorists list for some time now. Depending on theorists’ level of suspicion, the Bilderberg Group is a collective of North America and Europe’s most elite discussing various issues and topics and/or cooperatively bring about a single, unified government known as New World Order.  The search for the facts and answering these questions will continue through a general analysis and inquiry into the methodology of the organization with emphasis on the engineer. This research may give a glimpse through the keyhole and shed light on what lies behind the door of the Bilderberg Group.

The fundamental purpose underlying the Bilderberg Group and its secrets sits comfortably behind locked doors within a group of individuals, generally powerful and wealthy: academics, political figures and other distinctive decision makers of European and Western societies. These closed-door, invitation-only meetings have stirred up theories in both negative and positive retrospect. Logically, the conspiracy theories are believable due to the nature of the society. However, before the uprising and the brainwashing, these assumptions essentially had a creator, as did the society in question. As a result, to comprehend such an organization, we must begin with a character analysis of the facilitator and their ideology for its creation.
During the 1911 German Empire, Bernhard Friedrich Eberhard Leopold Julius Kurt Carl Gottfried Peter, Graf von Biesterfeld (Count Bisterfield) son of Prince Bernhard of Lippe, was born in Germany to a wealthy family where he had a normal childhood until the First World War subsequently caused his family to relinquish their royalty and associated wealth. Taking into consideration the damage caused by war, Bernhard made some questionable decisions that may help to deduce fact from fiction. During college, Bernhard became involved with the Nazi Party eventually a member. Though later, according to Bruno Waterfield of U.K’s syndicated newspaper The Telegraph, “the Prince always denied having been a member of the Nazi Party.” (“Dutch Prince Bernhard ‘was member of Nazi party’-The Telegraph”) After graduating, Bernhard became a German soldier of the Reich participating in the war. And as a member of the Nazi Party, he rose up the ranks seemingly loyal to the Party and Hitler’s dictatorship. Given that he was a German soldier, he soon renounced the German Empire as with his affiliation with the Nazi Party. In addition to his Nazi involvement, sometime after World War I, schemes of questionable outcomes eventually led to an investigation into his actions of receiving payoffs, a bribe rather, which led to his resignation from the Dutch armed forces. And according to the source,  The Telegraph reports  “former executive of the Lockheed aircraft company, Ernest Hauser, the Prince had sent a hand-written letter to Lockheed stating that, if he did not receive $4 million, the US aircraft company would never do business with the Netherlands again” (“The Telegraph- HRH Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands.”).  The notion that Hitler’s ideology may have fostered an idea essentially to become a theory of concern is convincing. Is he the mastermind, of a New World Order by establishing the Bilderberg Group to support a cause?

Amidst the war, his departure from Germany brought about a marriage between Bernhard and Princess Juliana, thus becoming His Royal Highness Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands, in 1937 (“Unofficial Royalty: The Site for Royal News and Discussion.”). Prior to the marriage, he obtained his Dutch citizenship dismissing any doubt of loyalty. As a Dutch leader, he actively participated in various duties of the parliament. In between his royal duties, he fathered six children all awhile becoming a respected head of the Netherlands.   Embracing his new country, he joined the Dutch military and participated in the war against Germany, actively “organizing the Dutch forces of resistance and prepared the way for the Canadian liberators,” (“Obituary: Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands”).  Soon after fleeing the Netherlands, Prince Bernhard openly declares Adolf Hitler a tyrant during a BBC radio interview. During the German occupation, Hitler forbade the Dutch to fly their flag, in retaliation; Prince Bernhard openly wore a white carnation pinned to his suits. The loyalty and commitment behind this act of defiance signifies a proactive idea of an open dialogue preventing new mediums with unique ideas to form. Even though Prince Bernhard had a questionable beginning, he seems to portray a man with ordinary problems. During the war, he was respected veteran who fought against his birth country. Theoretically, it contradicts aforementioned theory. Alternatively, did he develop a social club to open communication between countries in order to maintain peace across the world?  .
The first conspiracy theory, which has the most negative outcome, is the theory that the Bilderberg Group is about the formation of a New World Order. In essence, a single government using one currency. It is believed that governments are influenced by the groups’ decisions that could lead to a new, more controlled government. A government controlled by the rich and powerful, the fortune 500 CEOs and top government officials. This theory had the highest count in the belief poll, which posed the question of whether or not governments are being influenced by outside sources.

The last conspiracy theory is of a more proactive theory, which is the meeting of individuals whom are experts in their respective fields, dedicated to understand and speak amongst themselves and decide on a corrective action to maintain peace. This open channel of communication between countries with a common goal may be of a positive nature, which is to ensure that not any one nation will take over and make the world a singular nation. According to a belief poll conducted, it concluded that only a few did not believe that this theory was true and the government is not by outside sources. Frankly, The Bilderberg Group is a secret society, more mute than secret, of tight-lipped individuals with some degree of power. As far as the theories, which have been on conspiracy theorist’s list for some time, thus pushing the theorists’ suspicion even further. The Bilderberg Group has the potential of stirring up any theory given the mindset.
In conclusion, the theory of a single, unified government, operating a single currency and other unknown purposes forming a society aptly called New World Order is very plausible and with the knowledge, power, and wealth this group carries, could easily be executed. But the fact that he eventually left the German Empire, then lead the resistance against them as well as becoming a father and husband, points toward a different direction. In the end, these meetings of such secrecy could be perceived either way: a New World Order or World Peace. Prince Bernhard and his society, the Bilderberg Group, may as well be working toward a common goal of which is anybody’s guess. As for my theory…
