Tupac Shakur was shot and killed
about 20 years ago, but his death is still being questioned till this day.
People are asking is Tupac alive (“Tupac is alive Proof!”)? Did Suge Knight set
him up (1)? Was he killed by Illuminati (1)? All these conspiracies still have
no answers, why is his death still a big secret? Tupac Shakur was a famous
celebrity, and the difference between him and other celebrities he spoke his
mind in what he believed in. Tupac had friends and enemies that were looking
out to get him. No one really knows the truth on what happen to him, but there
is many stories on the way he died.
Tupac Shakur was a very open
minded person, he used his music to speak out to the ghetto community
("Was Tupac Shakur a 'Good Man'?). He came from the ghetto and had nothing
at a point of time; he shows that if he can do it you can to ("2Pac – Keep
Ya Head Up."). Tupac rapped about the ghetto he also talked about drugs,
gang violence and police brutality (""Changes" Lyrics.").
Shakur was always looking out to make a change not only in people, but wanting
to change the world (Mystagic). A lot of people looked up to the rolling stone
icon, and wanted to be just like him. Tupac had respect for women and kids not
only he had a good side, but he still was a gangster inside.
Tupac was
also a political person, living with his mother, father, and majority of his
family attending the Black Panther Organization (Shakur, Afeni). His
stepfather, Mutulu Shakur, was on the Top Ten Most Wanted in 1982 for robbing a
bank truck and killing a guard and two police officers ("Mutulu
Shakur."). Mutulu was also wanted for helping Tupac’s sister, Assata
Shakur, break out of a prison in New Jersey. Assata Shakur was in prison for
killing a state trooper and fled to Cuba and is still at large with a $2
million dollar reward (Buchanan).
Even though
Tupac Shakur was raised around this type of violence, he still managed to still
go to school. He attended a school in Baltimore School of the Arts, where he
studied poetry, jazz, acting, and ballet (FACT OF THE DAY). No one really
understands how intelligent Tupac was. When he was in prison in 1995, he read a
book “The Prince” written by Niccolo Machiavelli. Tupac studied the book, and
later on in his career he changed his name to Makavelli ("Tupac's
Relationship with Machiavelli."). Not only Tupac was a rapper he also was
an actor and was filmed in 8 movies: Nothing but Trouble in 1991, Jucie in
1992, Poetic Justice in 1993, Above the Rim in 1993, Murder was The Case in
1995, Bullet in 1996, Gridlock'd in 1997, and Gang Related in 1997. In 2003,
Tupac was ranked number 1 MC on MTV “22 Greatest MC's Countdown”. In 2004, The
Vibe Magazine rated Tupac Shakur “The Greatest Rapper of All Time”.
During Tupac Shakur’s life of
rising in the fame, he did get in trouble with the law in and out of jail and
prison for assault, shooting, and sexual assault (James). Shakur and another
rapper artist, Biggie Smalls, had conflicts when Tupac got robbed, beaten, and
shot 5 times (Reid, Shaheem). After all his flaws, he still looked toward the
music as a way out. The harder Tupac fell, the more time he would put in his
music, so people would actually understand who Tupac Shukur was (“Tupac
Shakur's Sudden Death and the Life He Left Behind.").
There are a few conspiracies on Tupac’s death one of the well know
conspiracies, “Is Tupac Shakur still alive?”
When
you think about the night he was gunned down on September 7, 1996, after
leaving the MGM Grand, he was held up by women at a stop light with Suge
Knight. Tupac was shot four times in his right hand, chest, pelvis and
thigh (Scheffler). He
still managed to survive the shooting and after a couple of days in the
hospital he was pronounced died on September 13, 1996. Being a big celebrity he
was, maybe he was thinking I can pay these people to fake my death. David
Myers, a Retired Las Vegas police officer, in critical condition said “The world needs to know what I did. I’m ashamed
that I let a price be put on my word and I cannot die without letting the world
know” (Strong). David Myers stated that Tupac paid
$1.5 million dollars to thirty people including medics, witnesses, and even police (1). Also he paid $50,000 dollars for a
look alike corpse that was sent to the morgue (1). There was no photos released
to the public showing he was in the hospital. He was cremated one day after he
was pronounced dead and his funeral was canceled (Terror). The white Cadillac that was supposedly in the shooting was never found.
It was unbelievable there were no witnesses at all, in Las Vegas, and it was
after a Championship Fight. Another big thing in Tupac’s career was when he
named his last album Makaveli. Some people even rearranged those letters and
spelled “I Am Alive” (Dude).
In a survey, twenty people were asked,
“Do you think Tupac is still alive?” Out of the twenty people, nine people said
yes, they thought he was still alive. There was comments like “Yes, he is in
Cuba!”(Tea), and “If he is alive he might be hiding.”(Glen). The people that
said no had comments like, “There would be more music out, if he was still
alive.” (Monique), “He was killed by Illuminati!” (John). Tupac Shakur could
still be out there living life with no problems and enemies.
The next
conspiracy about Tupac Shakurs death is, “Did Shug Knight kill Tupac?”. Suge Knight and Tupac had a successful
business in Death Row Records. Tupac sold
over 75 million records worldwide, and net worth of $40 million dollars.
Tupac’s contract was done with Death Row Records in 1995 after Suge bailed him
out of jail (Goldstein). Tupac wanted to make his own record deal with The
Outlawz Immortalz called “Makaveli Records”. Suge was thinking if Tupac leaves
Death Row then they’re not going to make any more money off of Tupac. If Suge
killed Tupac before he left the record deal, they would have all his unreleased
songs and albums that they could make more money and not have to cut any with
Tupac. A rumor appeared that Suge Knight owed Tupac $10 million
dollars that could be a big reason why Suge wanted to get rid of Tupac. Suge
Knight was a big time gangster and had convicts, gang members and even police
in his organization (DALLAS
DYNASTY).
The night of Mike Tysons fight Suge told Tupac to take off his bulletproof vest
(1). If any one that could get away with something like this would be Suge
Knight. Being the Executive Producer of Death Row Records gave him all the
power and even got him closer with Tupac. After Tupac was shot and killed, Suge
didn't show up for the questioning about the shooting. In an interview they
asked Suge “If you knew who shot Tupac would you tell us?” Suge said
“Absolutely not!” (2). Wouldn’t Suge want justice over Tupac’s death? If Suge
didn’t kill Tupac Shakur, Suge played a big role on helping him fake his death.
When Tupac got shot Suge Knight had a conversation with him. Wouldn't you think
Tupac being shot so many times, Suge would have got shot at least one time
instead of being grazed (FINALLY).
These conspiracies do have points on Tupac Shakur’s
death. There is more on him being alive than Suge Knight killing him or setting
him up. Tupac may still be alive. His death doesn't add up! There is more to
his death than what we actually know, but there are people that don't want to
come forward. The Media plays a big role on all conspiracies in the world. The
Media pushed more on the shooting and wanted to show the world that the
celebrity Tupac couldn't stand a chance on surviving. Tupac Shaker was always
leaving messages in everything: music, acting, and being big role model to most
of the people. In some of his music, he talks about him dying and reincarnating
then coming back to shock the world. There's a song called “Ain't Hard To Find”
he says, “I heard rumors that I died, murdered in cold blood, traumatized
pictures of me in my final states, you know my mama cried, but that was
fiction, some coward got the story twisted...” (2Pac- Ain't Hard 2 Find). It is possible he is somewhere on an island with no problems and
living the life he always dreamed of.
