Marilyn Monroe was an astonishing woman,
who had beautiful blond hair and pale skin, with an ‘angelic’ nature. She was a
strong graceful woman who redefined beauty. She was known as a ‘sex’ symbol.
Women idolized Monroe for having such a feminine and seductive nature. Monroe
used this to grasp her horrid past and flip the cards to what she seeked in her
future. Monroe became a hit, she was known, and very proud of it, but something
was still not settling right for Monroe. One thing Monroe seeked more than
anything was the attention of Mr. President, which she very well received.
“Happy birthday Mr. President”, was Monroe's biggest secret. Following this
seductive presentation, August 5,1962, came around and tragedy struck. The
beloved woman was found dead, helpless, and naked. There have been many
theories about what truly happened to Marilyn following that evening:
- She overdosed on sleeping pills due to her lack of sleep and
outgoing lifestyle
- President Kennedy murdered Monroe to cover their affair
- Kennedy’s wife killed Monroe to protect their marriage
All are very
reasonable theories, the only thing left to do is separate the truth from
theoretical assumptions.
Character
Analysis:
“Who was Marilyn,
Siri?” “A goddess”. Picture an angel-minus the wings. Delicate, flawless, and
stunning-- the world wide known sex symbol. Her talent and alluring physique is
what drew the people in, what caught their attention, and left them seeking for
more. Marilyn would walk in a designated area with her unembellished skin,
beach blonde hair-- minus the mess, and curves that would leave the whole room
in awe. Monroe was the epitome of beauty-- the opening of a door to what we
call ‘sexy’ for women in the twenty-first century. Monroe was the reflection of
a new era, if not the basis.
Over time Monroe
became a worldwide sensation, she was the ‘it girl’--the girl every girl who
ever walked the face of the earth dreamed to be. The girl every man desired.
She became the definition of perfection-to its finest. There were no bumps,
blemishes, prickly hairs, or any signs of aging upon Monroe’s face--an angelic
figure. Monroe carried herself so strategically well it seemed nearly
impossible (electronically programmed) for a woman to never appear to have a
bad side. Although that wasn't entirely true, Monroe was stunningly perfect in
every way imaginable on the outside. However, all that glamour still couldn't
prevent those internal corrupt demons from seeping up and grasping ahold of
Marilyn every so often. When discussing demons, it is not symbolizing the
devil’s followers, but it is referring to Marilyn’s past. The past Monroe so
challengingly tried to escape and turn her back on.
Although there have been reports discussing how eagerly
Monroe’s personnel (Johnny Hyde) confessed and pleaded to her to keep her past
hidden, “Marilyn was told not to speak of her institutionalized mother because
it would cast her in a bad light. Instead, if asked about her mother, she was
supposed to say she was dead.”, it did not take much longer for it to become
unveiled, (Pack, M J page 2). Monroe struggled as a child, even as an adult,
and exceeding all the way to her death. Monroe’s childhood is what consumed
most of her life away, although the promising actress seemed to have no brittle
bone in her body she was secretly being eaten alive by the demons inside
her.
Growing up in a
broken household with her mentally ill mother, Gladys Pearl Baker, was the
downfall to Marilyn's childhood. Miss Baker, the mother of miss Monroe, lived
such a ratchet lifestyle it continued to crumble, much like an old tombstone.
Baker, being a single careless woman, would have continuous sexual affairs with
a reckless amount of men, who would then find their interest in her
daughter--Monroe. These men would take advantage of the situations thrown at
hand and sexually assault and abuse Monroe, this is what led to so much of
Monroe's emotional and psychological issues. Monroe became frank with these
attacks, consistently feeling uneasy, afraid of what tomorrow would bring,
numbing the pain with the only pain killer she knew of--liquor, her mother’s
best advocate. This addiction for alcohol never perceived Marilyn and continued
up until adulthood-till her very last breath.
Although Marilyn’s childhood was tragic, she still seemed to
be soaring above all odds. Her nature as delicate as a dove, however, as
rambunctious as a bird freeing from its cage-- free at last. She always had a
thing for old, rich, white men-none under their 30’s: John F. Kennedy, Robert
F. Kennedy, Yves Montand, Sam Giancana, Arthur Miller, and Robert Mitchum were
all part of Monroe’s dirty little secret. Some may say she was a gold digger;
but she was nothing other than a hurt, abandoned child, looking for an asset to
her success. She was an empowering woman, looking for the stage light wherever
she may ponder. As often as we’d like to think she was unbelievably happy, we
will never truly know the true pain lying beneath that angelic mask of the one
and only, Marilyn Monroe.
Conspiracy Theories:
The most flaunted
conspiracy theory is known as the one by which Marilyn Monroe was murdered by
the Kennedys. The reason this conspiracy theory was passed along so widely, was
due to Marilyn having an affair with both Robert Kennedy and John F Kennedy.
This is the conspiracy theory that was most believed on my poll--even without
knowledge of the situation. Although the Kennedy’s affair with Marilyn was
never exploited publicly. It still does not undermine the fact it occurred.
During the occurrence Marilyn was given top secret information about the
Kennedys and other conspiring groups. Leaving people to believe that the
Kennedys had put themselves at risk with these discussions and would surpass
whatever they must to keep Marilyn shut. Peter Lawford, the brother in law of
the Kennedys had stated in some public event years down the line that the
Kennedys had done something crazy but that Mr. Lawford himself was even crazier
for allowing it to happen--discussing the night of Monroe's death. Although,
this can raise much epidemic, this statement was proven reluctant and never
gave anyone any evidence as to if the Kennedy’s truly had ties to Marilyn
Monroe's death. An additional epidemic having to deal with the Kennedys was
that they had given Monroe a lethal injection. However, this claim is false due
to the fact that after the autopsy; there were no marks or any signs of an
entry way or struggle for a needle to have passed through. The only true tie to
Marilyn that we can prove the Kennedys had been to their affairs--death was not
a possibility for the Kennedys, at least not a valid one.
The second
conspiracy theory was that Marilyn Monroe was murdered by the CIA. This
epidemic rose into play after statements about the Kennedys secreting national
secrets to miss Monroe. It was contemplated that Marilyn Monroe was murdered
due to her knowledge of these secrecies and that she became a threat to
national security. Therefore, it was told that the CIA showed up to Marilyn's
home, forcing her handyman and house maid out and moments later the poor
actress was found dead laying on her backside. Although, this sounds like a
straight tragedy, it is falsified information. The reason this statement is
false is due to its lack of evidence and invalid witness testimonies. Due to
the untold, later told, and changing stories these so called ‘witnesses’ stated
their testimonies were proven unreliable and insufficient. In addition to this the victim could have not
been found dead on her back due to the circulation of the blood flow, which was
not to her backside but to the side of her face; meaning she died face down on
her stomach. Also much like the Kennedys, the CIA was told to have given
Marilyn a lethal injection which as stated previously was proven false due to
no needle wounds or entries. This conspiracy theory was ruled out due to its
lack of evidence and possibilities.
The third
conspiracy theory is that Marilyn Monroe committed suicide which is the least
believed theory. Although this is the less believed theory it is the theory
that shows significant evidence. Marilyn Monroe had mental illness in her
family history and was actually going through signs of mental illness herself.
The beloved actress would talk about herself in third person and was being watched
over by a psych due to her drug and alcohol abuse, as well as a multitude of
suicide attempts leading to her death. The poor actress’s life was crumbling
down right before her, her career was failing due to her drug and alcohol
addictions and never being capable of rehearsal. Marilyn was also shut down by
the Kennedys after their multiple affairs. Nothing was seeming to go along with
Marilyn’s plan, other than her death. After research and analyzation of the
scenarios there was really no way for Marilyn to be murdered, leaving only one
option--suicide. The day before Marilyn's death she went to her pharmacy to get
an additional dosage of the pills she was diagnosed--the ones that KILLED HER.
Marilyn took the exact dosage to cause severe damage--death, twenty-four
capsules. Marilyn also had locked her door the night of her death--had never
done before, meaning she had something to hide and something she didn't want
anyone to stop her from doing. This was the least believed because the death of
a beloved actress is never something a person chooses to come forth. However,
the suicide is a reasonable explanation as to what truly happened to Marilyn
Monroe--evidence leads to this.
Conclusion:
Overall, based on
the evidence gathered it is factually correct to believe Marilyn Monroe
committed suicide. Due to the Myth Busters educational video on the capsule,
pill, and stomach fluid in Monroe’s system. It is also accurately corrected
that Monroe could have taken the twenty-four pills, with an effect of fatigue
in as little as fifteen minutes and lastly death—within twenty minutes of
consuming them. Marilyn had presented signs of suicide and a mass of suicide
attempts that lead people to conclude that death was her preference. Although Marilyn did have sexual encounters
with both the Kennedys, it is not a safe conclusion to believe either of the
Kennedy’s had those capabilities—their nature and presentation were too much to
risk it all. The Kennedy’s were also not placed at the crime scene till years
down the road, giving no truthful testimonies or factual evidence to rely on.
The only ‘evidence’ was referring to a lethal injection which was ruled out due
to faulty clause and no evidence at the crime scene, nor biopsy. The CIA was
also accused to have murdered Monroe with the same lethal injection the
Kennedys did. For this same reason is why the CIA was ruled out due to flawed
statements and evidence.
