What
really happened to pop star Michael Jackson? On June 25,2009, fifty-year-old
Michael Jackson, the king of pop, was found dead. Apparently, Michael Jackson
really died from an overdose on propofol, which his doctor prescribed him, or
was it from another cause ("Michael Jackson: The Wildest Conspiracy
Theories" 1) ? Because his death was so unexpected there are a lot of
different conspiracy theories on his death:
1. Michael Jackson was
Murdered
2. Michael Jackson faked
his death to escape problems
3. Michael Jackson died
years before his actual death
Let's explore these conspiracy
theories and find the best solution for his death.
Popstar
Michael Jackson was a very interesting guy and had a very interesting life. He
was born on August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana, to Katherine Jackson and Joseph
Jackson. Michael had nine other siblings and all of them made some type of mark
on the music industry, but especially Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson was best
known as the King of Pop and was the best selling American singer. Michael was
also a songwriter, dancer, and actor. Sadly, Michael Jackson died at the age of
fifty in 2009, but he really did inspire many people throughout his life (“Michael Jackson” 1).
Michael Jackson was a very unique person and had extremely unique
characteristics that defined him as a person.
Michael
Jackson was a very successful and determined person in his life. His music
career started when he was only five years old, because of his father's
encouragement. He played with his siblings in the band called the Jackson 5,
and became the lead singer in that group with his brothers. Michael was greatly
blessed with his amazing singing and performing gift. At the age of 5 years
old, he could perform and sing in front of crowds, and impress them with his
ability. They first played at local places and eventually gained a big following of people. People were
impressed by how young they were and how magnificent they could perform. They
tried to record their first single called “Big Boy”, with the B-side “You’ve
Changed,” but it did not gain a big following and failed. But that did not
discourage them back at all. They still kept practicing and performing.
Eventually, Berry Gordy signed them to his label in 1969 and they moved in with
Berry and Diana Ross. Michael and the Jackson 5 made their first album called
“Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5” and it hit the billboard charts (“Michael Jackson” 1). This
was a gigantic step for Michael and the Jackson 5. It really gained them a lot
of popularity and a big following. Michael, and the Jackson 5, continued to
play and make albums that were extremely successful. When Michael was only
eleven years old he was on TV and he also released his first solo album when he
was fourteen years old. Eventually, they started to have a little tension in
the band and broke off, but Michael was determined to branch out and became a
solo performer. He then released his first solo album when he was 14 years old.
Michael was more successful in his solo career of making music and performing
than with the Jackson 5, with his big breakthrough being in 1979 with the album
“Off the Wall”. Another one of Michael's popular albums was “Thriller” in 1987
(“Michael Jackson”
1). He made many more popular albums, and everyone loved his songs. He was very
successful in his career and signed a lot of big deals in his life. He was
really wealthy because of all of his albums he sold, deals he signed, and
performances he did. He was probably the most popular sensation at that time
and still is extremely popular even after his death. He was just a true
performer and was gifted with that great ability. He was definitely determined
and knew exactly what he wanted to do in his life.
Michael Jackson was a mysterious and strange person. Whenever Michael Jackson was in his late thirties, he started to develop a reputation as an eccentric recluse. An eccentric recluse is basically a person living alone and not acting socially right. He rarely performed anymore and did not get out and meet people and friends. He moved into a huge 2,700-acre ranch called Neverland, which was out in the middle of nowhere. On his land, he had an amusement park and he lived there pretty much for the rest of his life. Michael Jackson underwent many surgeries on his face and also changed his skin color with chemical treatment. He started acting strange when he got older by changing the way he looked completely and not acting socially right. Like why would someone that is extremely famous want to change the way they look completely? Michael Jackson did have two wives throughout his life but they did not last long and he divorced them. Another strange thing about Michael Jackson was that he was faced with several allegations that he molested young boys. On June 13, 2005, Michael was accused of child molestation of a young boy named Gavin Arvizo (“Michael Jackson is Born” 1). He went to trail for it and was acquitted and then died four years later. Michael Jackson was definitely a strange person and it developed as he got older. He did some pretty mysterious and strange things that were very odd.
Michael
Jackson was a very kind and thoughtful person according to many people
throughout his life. He sought to be a service to others and helped others in
times of need. He really had a caring heart for others which is great. Although
He was a shy person, he still was a caring person. Some of the things that
Michael Jackson did throughout his life to help others was he donated and gave
a lot of his money to different charities and organizations. He also went to
orphanages and hospitals to visit children and people and he gave them gifts
and love. This is what Brad Sundberg said about Michael, "Michael was
remarkably talented, driven, patient, kind, a perfectionist, trusting – and
very funny. He was painfully shy but loved to perform in front of enormous
crowds. He would work for days on end without a break then disappear without
warning to Tokyo or London for a few days. He wasn’t perfect, he wasn’t normal
– but that’s what made him Michael” (“More about Michael:: True Michael Jackson” 1).
The
King of Pop, Michael Jackson, was a
unique person. He was extremely talented in singing, songwriting,
dancing, and acting. He was also a very determined and successful person, a
kind and shy person, and a little mysterious and strange at times in his life.
It was these unique characteristics that really define Michael Jackson as a
person.
There
have been a lot of different conspiracy theories on the death of the pop star
Michael Jackson even though most believe he died from an overdose on propofol.
Many conspiracy theorists refuse to believe that he is actually dead, even
though doctors have done autopsies on his body and discovered he died from an
overdose. The first conspiracy theory on his death is that he died two years
earlier than his recorded death in June 2009, and was replaced by an
impersonator. The reason why this conspiracy theory came about is because
Michael Jackson’s appearance at the O2 conference, on March 5, 20009 to promote
his London dates was very strange. He arrived 90 minutes late to this event and
was not acting like himself on the stage. He also did not look like himself
according to many people. Many people observed that he was way too tall and his
fingers were too stumpy for it to be the real Michael Jackson. They believed
that he died a couple of years before this and just had people impersonating
him. Another reason why people think he died years before his actual death is
because he stopped performing and people stopped hearing things about him. The
reason why this conspiracy theory is flawed is that Michael Jackson’s family
and friends would have had to have been in on this plan, and how would they
keep his death a secret for so long without it breaking out. This conspiracy
theory has no real evidence of it being true beside the fact that it was not
him at the event (“Michael Jackson: the Wildest Conspiracy theories” 1).
The
second conspiracy theory is that he faked his own death to escape financial
problems. The reason why this conspiracy theory came about is because at the
time of Michael Jackson's death he was heavily in debt and many believe he was
trying to flee from creditors ("Let's Solve Some of the Mysteries Surrounding
Michael Jackson's Death" 1). Michael Jackson was a big spender throughout
his life and this caused him to be 200 million dollars in debt at the time of
his death. So it makes sense that he would want to fake his death to flee from
his debt. They believe that he fled to Mexico after he faked his death so no
one could find him. He also gained huge sales boost in money after his “death”
and had 200 unreleased songs that he gave to his children ("Michael
Jackson: The Wildest Conspiracy Theories” 1). So he could have faked his death
for more money on sales to provide for his children. The reason why this
conspiracy theory is flawed is that there's no proof of whether this conspiracy
theory is true. Also, how could he fake his death when they found his body?
And, why would he want to leave his family and friends just because he was in
debt?
Another
conspiracy theory about the death of Michael Jackson is that he was killed to
distract attention from Iran. The reason why this conspiracy theory came about
was that Michael Jackson’s death was perfectly timed with the Iranian regime.
At the time Iran was in a protest of having a second election for there
president because many believe it was rigged. His death sucked a lot of
attention from Persia to Bel Air because of how famous he was and it caused
Iran's second election to slowly fade away and not fall through. Conspiracy
theorists think that Iran used this as a tactic to stop all of the protesting
and madness that was going on.
("Michael Jackson: the Wildest Conspiracy Theories" 1).
Michael Jackson’s daughter, Paris Jackson, also believes that he was murdered,
but by an Illuminati group. There is no evidence on whether this conspiracy
theory is true but people still believe in this conspiracy theory because there
is a possibility it could be true. Also, Michael Jackson’s sister, La Toya
Jackson, believes he was killed, but instead because of business interests it
was in order to profit from his estate ("Let's Solve Some of the Mysteries
Surrounding Michael Jackson's Death" 1). This conspiracy theory that he
was murdered is probably the most believable because it has the most logical
proof and reasoning behind it. Also, because a lot of members of Michael
Jackson’s family believes that he was murdered, it causes a lot of other people
to believe in this conspiracy theory. According to a recent survey done at Bay
Area Christian School with 20 people, 90% of them believe in this conspiracy
theory that he was murdered.
There
are a lot of different conspiracy theories on Michael Jackson’s death because
he was a very mysterious man. Also, because his death was strange and
unexpected it makes people wonder and conclude on different ideas of how he
could have died. The conspiracy theory that really sticks out is the conspiracy
theory of his murder. The reason why it sticks out is that some of his own
family members believe he was murdered. However, we will never truly know fully
if these conspiracy theories are somewhat true.
On
June 25,2009, pop star, Michael Jackson, was unexpectedly found dead in his Los
Angeles home. Because of his unexpected death it led to three different
conspiracy theories on his death:
Was Michael Jackson murdered?
Did Michael Jackson fake his death
to escape problems?
Did Michael Jackson die years before
his actual death?
Although
we already know that Michael Jackson died from drug intoxication, their still
could be a possibility that these conspiracy theories are true. There's still
mysteries on his death because it was so unexpected and strange. So we may
never know if these conspiracy theories are true.
