The Death of Adolf Hitler by Shaz Karovaliya

The death of Adolf Hitler, one of the cruelest tyrants ever recorded in history, had shot himself after learning that his forces had been defeated in combat. There is a reason he acted the way he did was because of the death of his brother which he witnessed as a child. Did Hitler even die or was there evidence placed to fake his death? Is Hitler really alive and healthy living in Argentina? Are the people who claim to have seen Hitler around the world delusional or are they uncovering the hidden truth? Let’s go deeper into the mystery of Hitler’s death and explore the evidence to find a plausible answer to this conspiracy.

The biggest mystery in this conspiracy is Hitler’s personality. Since Hitler committed suicide before he could be captured, psychiatrists could not perform a diagnostic on him to determine whether or not he had any mental issues. Many psychiatrists speculated that Hitler did have mental issues without a direct examination by studying his actions and descriptions of his personality by the people who have interacted with him. These psychiatrists diagnosed Hitler with numerous mental disorders, a few are: hysteria, schizophrenia, sadistic and narcissistic personal disorder among many others. The other psychiatrists, such as German philosopher Hannah Arendt, argued that it is possible for someone to commit genocide while having completely good mental health. (Lewis 1)

Hitler’s cruelty has been his primary characteristic throughout history. The main example people give to support that claim is The Holocaust. The Holocaust was the genocide of Jews in Europe. Many believe that Hitler’s cruelty originated with his rocky relationship with his parents and the death of his brother. The death of his brother brought out the worse side of him. He constantly fought with his parents and misbehaved in school causing problems everywhere he went. His cruelty made him one of the most feared people on the earth at that time. He was known to shoot anyone, German or Jew, that disobeyed him on sight. His rash and mindless decisions allowed him to rapidly climb the political ladder to reach the highest position of the time.

Adolf Hitler was also known to be one of the most cunning men on the earth. One his most famous quotes is, “If you tell a big enough lie and tell it frequently enough, it will be believed.” (Lewis 1). This shows how Hitler would deceive people and use his deception to manipulate people into following him and supporting his every decision. One of Hitler’s beliefs was that to make Germany stronger he would have to make them “pure”, he did this by murdering every German with mental of physical disability, even alcoholics (Why Did Hitler Hate the Jews? 3). After murdering these citizens with disabilities, he would go to their families and tell them that they were killed at war or some other lie to keep them family from creating and issues (Mahar 2).

Adolf Hitler’s personality was one of the biggest reasons that The Holocaust, the murder of thousands of innocents and the Second World War all occurred. His cruelty allowed for him to ruthlessly murder millions and remain in power by creating a worldwide fear. His cunning has allowed him to get to the powerful position he was in and manipulate the public into believing that his actions were beneficial to society. The most important aspect of Hitler’s character was his mental stability. Whether or not he was mentally challenged, he committed countless immoral and inhumane actions. His mental stability will never be able to be confirmed, so that remains as one of the biggest mysteries of recent history.

This first theory deals with the evidence found about Hitler’s death in Germany. There have been many doubters to whether or not the evidence of Hitler’s death was real or completely faked. Many theorists believe that Adolf Hitler never shot himself dead, rather he planted a victim by the name of Eva Braun (McRae 4). Eva died at the age of 33, which was around the time of Hitler’s alleged death, leading many speculators to believe Hitler is still alive. There was new evidence discovered, in 2017, to strengthen the unlikelihood of this theory, confirmed by pathologists in France, “Not only do the teeth, crowns, and bridge match the dental work Hitler had done, a scanning electron microscope on the plaque found plenty of evidence of plant matter and no sign of meat.” (McRae 5). This appears to destroy any chance of this theory being remotely possible, but in fact there is one little gap of doubt still present. The French pathologists couldn’t conduct a DNA test on the fragments of teeth since they didn’t have Hitler’s DNA to match it to. This little inconsistency still prompts many to believe that Hitler lived beyond his death in the bunker.

My second theory is one of the most well-known and talked about conspiracy in regard to Hitler’s death is that he escaped to Argentina through the use of an underground bunker. Theorists claim a wild series of events occurred in Hitler’s alleged journey to Argentina, “There were multiple reports that Hitler was living with old comrades in Argentina, having, by some accounts, been spirited out of Berlin, flown to a German airbase in Denmark, and then taken across the Atlantic by U-boat. The Führer, one FBI file reported, had arrived at his Argentinian ranch hideaway by horseback.” (Philpot 3). There have been images showing a person with similar facial features to Hitler, which fuels the sceptics to questioning Hitler’s death. This conspiracy is one of the most controversial conspiracies regarding Hitler’s death, since the rumors claiming Hitler is still alive originated from Russian sources. (Philpot 5) There were numerus motives for which Stalin could have started this rumor that Hitler is living, but the most significant one was that, “Attempting to place the blame on Spain and Argentina for sheltering Hitler served to help undermine Stalin’s fascist enemies overseas.” So, if he claimed that Hitler was sheltered in Argentina, he could have prompted an attack, brought in other powerful allies to aid and attack Spain in process since Spain and Argentina were close allies at the time.

The final conspiracy is more of a powerful government-based conspiracy; “Are governments covering up Hitler’s escape?” Many sceptics believe that Hitler really did escape, and the allied governments found out, to cover their significant blunder they started to destroy any and every evidence that was found regarding Hitler being alive. Many people argue that these governments could have easily raided Argentina and killed Hitler if he were really alive, but the issue is if the allied governments raided Argentina then they would have to provide the people with an explanation, which would defeat the purpose of the secrecy. There have been many people claiming to have pictures that were of Hitler, there have also been people that claim the government had confiscated their images. This seems viable if we considering the following true, “In his book, Hitler in Exile, historian Abel Basti is one such truth seeker to have made these claims. Speaking to Sputnik News, he said: ‘There was an agreement with the US that Hitler would run away and that he shouldn’t fall into the hands of the Soviet Union’” (Nevett). There have been many instances where the government jumps in and analyses images and files them as doctored images.

These three conspiracies show gaps in the evidence for Hitler’s death in the underground bunker located in Germany. According to my survey there were about 37% of the people surveyed that believed Hitler planted fake evidence of his death to escape allied forced. But there was a less than 7% of people that agreed with the other two theories. I think, since the theory of Hitler planting fake evidence is more popular, more people agree with it. Another factor that could lead to a someone believing in the first conspiracy is that the probability of the event occurring isn’t as low as the others. As long as there is a gap of doubt, there will always be sceptics.

Even decades after the death of Adolf Hitler many people believe that he never really died, rather he lived out the rest of his life in peace. The following are some of the conspiracies associated with the story of Hitler;

· Did Hitler even die or was there evidence placed to fake his death?

· Is Hitler really alive and healthy living in Argentina?

· Are the people who claim to have seen Hitler around the world delusional or are they uncovering the hidden truth?

After researching the three conspiracies that claim that Adolf Hitler never killed himself the bunker in Germany. In conclusion the conspiracies are most likely false but there is a small possibility that they could be true. There were a few gaps and unexplainable inconsistencies present, but in the end the conspiracies are false due to the heavy evidence provided proving the death of Adolf Hitler
